Some sketchbook pages (3)

A stony beach fades away to a distant sea. It could be the Med but is in fact the Lune Estuary at Cockersands, some seven or so miles down the coast from Lancaster and Morecambe. Background water colour was laid down then the drawing worked over it.

If you look closely, you will see the sketchiness of this is betrayed where the colour has bled over the boundary lines. But then this is only a setting out of ideas and never intended to be a finished work.

Lovely sketches as usual Norman. Can't wait to see Cyprus 2007 ones! Have a great time. The bit of French Med I've seen this last fortnight was really beautiful- South of France v short of water though, apparently it's months since they had proper rain. The countryside looks thirsty, but the night skies - wow.

Enjoy Cyprus.
