Yes Mickle, sculpture is very much a tactile form. I remember many years back attending a lecture by Barbara Hepworth no less who spoke of this. Sadly, every time we see a Hepworth in a gallery there is a notice marked "Do not touch". To me that's as absurd as having a painting marked, "Do not look." It pleases me greatly that you would like to run your hand over the work. Thank you for you kind comments. Glad you like it too, Thumbelina.
I have been an artist since the beginning of the 1960s and now I am retired from paid work as a nurse I make art full time.
Most of my work is two-dimensional but I have made a few small sculture pieces.
I spend a few weeks of the year making art in Cyprus with the Cyprus School of Art, sometimes in Larnaca and others at Lempa near Paphos.

The finished colour looks warm and I like the overall effect with the darker parts of the grain looking gently golden too.
She is a piece I find I would love to run my hands over, especially over the cowl. And I have been looking at her with a gentle smile on my face.
Thank you Thole Man. I think that Thumbelina shares some of your talents, it so shows in her photography.
Care from over here, Mickle and my sleeping, snoring Zebbycat.
She certainly does look warm - I love the finish.
Mickle - you are too kind. :)
